The vent is sealed from the inside (to prevent water entering when underway or not in use) by screwing in a plastic cover or "plug". The threads in the deck are totally worn out so that the plug falls out. I hate to permanently seal the vent. Can anyone recommend a fix? Or failing that, where could I buy a total vent replacement (including cover)that is reasonably priced and would fit into the existing deck opening?
Joerg, We have a vent made by Plastimo. Replacement part for ours are available at Marisafe.com. Replacing the whole unit shouln't be too expensive or difficult.
