The Hatch cover on my 1989 Catalina is plexiglass and it is cracked and now leaking. I have used fillers to stop the leaks for now but, I need to locate a new one or find out how others have dealt with this problem in the most economic way, with good results.

Catalina Direct has a replacement hatch made of smoked lexan.
check it out on their website www.catalinadirect.com I have dealt with them often and find them very helpful and friendly. the only drawback is that the hatch is expensive, but probably will not crack like your old one and will fit better too.

The hatch is pictured in the website follow the links to C25 parts. Then click on the hatch thumbnail. they have pictured it very well.

best of luck

Thanks for your replys. I took the outside Plexiglass mesurements to a local Glass cutter to buy a piece of plexiglass. He bought it, I took the Hatch to him one morning (when it was not going to rain) He cut the new plexiglass using the old hatch as a model. I went to Home depot and bought the weather stripping put it together and assembled the parts. total cost less the 100.00.
