Can't remember which forum I saw where an owner is making templates to make & replace windows for C25. Seemed willing to get into production & provide for us. Mine leak badly. PO patched & caulked original alum. windows. I'd like to replace. Are there any windows or portholes that open? It's really hot here in East Texas. Any ideas or resources?
I think you'll be hard pressed to find a product that fits as well as the originals. Keep in mind that there are caulking products available today that didn't exist when the boat was manufactured. If you have the time and patience - you can make the originals more water tight than when the boat was new. As for the head portlights - I replaced mine with the opening units manufactured by Lewmar. Very high quality product. Only had to enlarge the cabin openings by a sliver to achieve a perfect fit. Good luck!
Thanks guys. Actually, my OS 10 (Mac) is Unix based. Being new to forum am just learning to access search mode. You have to look around to get what you want. I found much window(s) info in archives. Hope to be back in the water soon.
