I'm travelling often to NY on business. I'm wondering if someone in the NY/NJ Hudson river area is interested in "trading sailing". You skipper in your boat and waters with me as a deckhand; I'll return the favor when you're in the Florida Keys. Abacus is moored in Key Largo, FL.

Albert,

Sounds like a great idea even if I don't get to visit Largo. The boat goes in Monday and should be checked out soon after. I'm on Long Island, town of Patchogue, N.Y.

I was first wondering how you were to handle the insurance problem in the event of a straight out switch...they seldom work out, but as I read further your offer made sense.

When are you expected in town next?

Hey Val,

Thanks for the reply! I wouldn't even TRY to sail someone else's boat in familiar waters. Even less in unfamiliar.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'll be traveling regularly Monday to Friday at least twice / month. I may be staying over some weekends. I'm working/staying in the Fort Lee area right by the George Washington bridge. I've access to tranportation also.

I'll be there this coming week again. Mon-Fri. My evening schedule fluctuates depending on meetings or lack thereof. Email me your email address at al@comhertz.com and I'll forward my contact info. We can touch base when mutually convenient.
