Had a great weekend on the Bay. Well, actually motored from the West River to Annapolis on Friday (when I say "dead calm" I mean DEAD CALM). Spent the night on a mooring ball there with my boys - 9 & 6.
Saturday, though, couldn't have been better. Sailed southeast at breakneck speed all the way across the bay, then just one tack to point straight back up the West River.
WHAT A DAY !!!!!!
This site is a GREAT resource full of VERY helpful folks.
I was there for the past four days with my sister and brother-in-law. We were docked across from the harbormaster's office. The heat was unbelievable, and we went through a twelve pack of beer in three days, even though I rarely drink more than one beer a day. Thank goodness the heat wave finally broke last night, and temps are expected in the low 80s all this week!
We toured the Naval Academy and the State House as well as all the shops and restaurants, and Fawcett's ship chandlery (Wow!) That's a great little city.
