I bid on a Humminbird Matrix 10 on the West Marine eBay store. I was the only bidder and got it for $140. It was the same price that I found it at at least one other place but I figured I wasn't doing badly. I wanted it to hook up my Garmin 76 to it because the Matrix series interfaces with GPS and displays the info on the matrix screen. As it turns out this particular unit came with the Humminbird GPS unit included, a $120 dollar value. Woo Hoo! (Anyone want to buy a Garmin 76?) I have had several bad experiences with West Marine's auctions but this makes up for all of it.

The bilge of my wing is so different from my swinger that I need to see if I can stuff the transducer between the cabin sole and the hull forward of the keel.
I paid $120 for a Matrix 10 on sale at the local West Marine about a year ago. It did not have the GPS. It looks like you got a new GPS for $20. Ya done good!
We Kansans take our shoes very seriously, you never know when you might have to click your heels three times.
I got the new unit installed and I am very happy. The compass function is pretty weak but everything else is great for sailing on my lake. I sold the Garmine 76 already to a friend and he is happy too,... it's all good.
Frank, do you have some British blood in the family. My friends always comment on my wearing of socks with sandals
My Norwegian cousins do the same thing ... I think it's more of a nerd thing than cultural
