Hopefully, if the mast goes up tonight with no issues, she will be wet tomorrow!
I tested the outboard last night and it started with the 2nd pull. So happy about that. Not bad for a 21 year old motor.
Sadly enough, last night while sitting in the cockpit, I noticed two pieces of white tape in the cockpit that I never saw before. I pulled them off to reveal cracked soft core. The first is in the lower left corner of the cockpit/settee/entry corner, has a 3/8" hole and is wet. 2nd is on the port aft inside corner of the settee/transom, it has a very small hole, but the gel coat is spider webbing. The 2nd is very dry. The 1st being wet from the water run-off from the hatch boards. Looks like another off season project.
Looooong day. Lot of planning and figuring. With the mast raising failure last night, I left the mast base in the step, and the other end in the crotch I built. The marina had never seen such a setup. Once in I motored the 8 miles North to the marina where she now sits happily at the dock. Tomorrow I will rig and put the sails on.
Funny, I always wonder how many boats have the same name.
An update, I spent most of Saturday cleaning her topsides ( was going to wait, but when I raised the pop-top, I almost died seeing all that crap). I spent Sunday rigging her and now she is ready. Hopefully I can get out later this week. This weekend at the latest.
