While single handing the other day I took a few minutes to do the regular keel cable visual check. Lo and Behold I saw the "HAIRS" on the cable. So I called Catalina Direct and spoke with Lowell and since we have owned "Leprechaun" two years and have not replaced the cable Etc, also without knowing wether any of that had been done by the previous owner . I ordered "EVERYTHING". I had changed the cable etc on our 22 but not on the 25. We pulled the boat, put it on the trailer, dropped the keel on the trailer rollers, took it apart,2 1/2 hrs later we were back in the water..No leaks and sailing. We did not use any silicone around the hose. BTW, We also researched it in the forum archives, first, there were some great photos! This forum is worth the price of membership! We are so glad that there are so many willing to help, thats what a good organization is all about! Thanks to All to offer help! BTW we also replaced the grommet where the VHF antennae line goes into the mast with fuel line hose! Also got that tip from the forum! Fair Winds and following Seas to All! Alan & Eileen

"The clink of an anchor - chain, the 'Yo-Ho!' of a well time crew, the flapping of huge sails - I love all these sounds."
