Can anyone tell me how high the spreaders are from the deck on a standard rig Catalina 25? Mine is an 1984 and located in another state over winter, so I can't just go there and measure it. I'm trying to design some lazy jacks for her for next season.

Many Thanks
Paul

I just went out in the barn and measured. Mine is 168.5 inches to the center of the spreader. Hope that helps.

Wes, from what point did you base your measurement? The bottom end of the mast?
Paul, at what height is your boom on the mast? Some booms are fixed and some like mine slide up and down the sail track.
Kim Luckner's Harken chart is handy but takes a little decoding.

I like the detail at the spreaders using shock cord to keep the lines taut. Are blocks strictly necessary for the lower section or can you splice a stainless steel eye into the ends?

Measured from the bottom of the mast. My boom also slides up and down.
