This september's issue of Cruising World has an in depth article on swing keel maintenance. It has a couple of close up pics of a nasty looking keel and cable attachment. Looks a lot like my old Catalina 22 swinger.
It also has several pics of failed cables.

But we all know to do routine maintenence, so I know the article doesn't apply to any of our fleet.

They also have lots of pics of pretty boats I'll never be able to afford. That reminds me, gotta get a new Powerball ticket

this was a good article and good issue. I read it on the plain Sunday. Oh did it have me dreaming of sailing.
