I am curious and wondered if anyone has cut access holes beneath the seats(on the starboard side)of the dinette models. Door frame and doors could be installed for a finished effect.
I cut two 6" circular holes for flushmount speakers with no ill effects. Others have cut holes in the fiberglass seatbacks for additional storage - might be a little easier to access? Better buy a pack of blades though.
I don't see a problem in it. Not sure if I see an advantage in it. Half of my seats are used up with the fresh water tank and battery. And the other section I use for things that I rarely need, extra anchor, kids flippers and mask’s etc. so I don’t need quick and easy access.
I just cut holes into the seat backs on both sides of my traditional interior. Anyone have any idea why the fiberglass on the port side also had 1/4" plywood backing but the starboard side didn't?

I am also considering adding a drawer under the aft dinett seat. I am about ready to install a stove/oven that I purchaced used at the Berkley Sailing Club's annual flea market. This will mean that I will lose the top drawer under the existing stove when I cut it out to make room. I'm not sure how I will do this project yet but when I do I will post photos. And Steve is 100% right, cutting the fiberglass on these boats absolutely destroys blades, buy a gross of them.
