Gary,
Here is a copy of the letter Mark Maxwell sent to Ed Montague. Ed forwarded it to me and I finally got a chance to look at it.
Hi Ed,

Have you tried using shutterfly to post your pics? I only ask because like Gary if I can't get out myself I love to see pics of others who can.

Shutterfly is real easy to use. First let me explain the posting thing. It works different on this forum than it did on our old one. Before, we use to be able to transfer the picture right to the post and that was it. The old forum would read it right from your computer. Well now, on this forum, the picture has to be loaded somewhere on the internet and then a link to it is typed into your post between the brackets [type here] . Then when someone reads your post the forum automatically loads the picture from the link you provide.

To start with Shutterfly, just go to their web site at www.shutterfly.com start up an account (it's free) and follow the instructions. Or if you have your own web site that you can load pictures to that will work too.

You may want to print this section so you can refer back to it while you do the steps

Once you have a picture loaded find it's URL address by simply putting your mouse pointer on it and clicking the right-hand button. Then select the 'properties' (usually at the bottom) the URL my be a long one, but it will be listed stating with 'http://www.' If you highlight it with your pointer and then right click and select 'copy' that will be much easier than trying to write down the whole address either way you will need to put that address in your forum post between the two brackets [] . Here is an example of what it should look like when you link a picture to your post on the forum.

Hi all here is the marina at Don Pedro [http://www.donpedrolake.com/images/marina.gif]

The forum program will read everything between the brackets [-] as a link. Everyone that looks at it will see your message and the picture will load automatically. Like this:

Hi all here is the marina at Don Pedro http://www.donpedrolake.com/images/marina.gif
(go ahead and click the link)

When you select 'Insert Picture' on the forum it puts the brackets in for you like this [] then you have to type or paste (if you did the copy thing I stated above) the URL address in between them. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Feel free to contact me to clear up any questions. Good Luck

-Mark

Matt's photos of Don Pedro were taken on a windy rainy day. Here is a photo that my wife and I took as we lazily motored back to the marina one evening two weeks ago. The lupin was out in wonderous beauty and the deer were looking very happy. We get to see so much more at 4 knots and the Yamaha 4 stroke is so quiet we were able to just come right up on these three.<img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2db24b3127cce9df01952f72d0000003410" border=0>
