I've tried several times over the past week to access the "Members only" link from the Association's index page, each time receiving the following error msg:
"ERROR An error occured while trying to log you in. The login database may be offline or there may be an ASPLogin configuration error. Please contact the systems administrator."
I have attempted to log in using my username and password as was necessary to post this msg...What am I missing? Thanks.
The member logon id and password for the Members Only area are NOT the same as your forum logon id and password. They are the same for everyone, and were included in your Membership Welcome letters. If you have misplaced your Membership Welcome letter, please contact the association's secretary, Kris Underwood (user id Coach), who can verify your current membership status and email you the Members Only logon id and password.

I’m not sure when the speed, time outs and other problems started but could it have anything to do with adding the frames on top of the pages?

I think they are those hot buttons added to the top of the page.
Yes Don is correct. They are on the buttons at the top of the page. If you’ve been coming to the forum via a “favorite” or “bookmark” on your web browser, you may have never noticed them. Without going into a lot of detail, frames segment the browsers viewing area into multiple areas, each one acting independently of the other. If you click on the link in don’s post above you will see what I mean.
When you scroll down, the links will still remain at the top of the page. There is a lot more to it than that, of course, but that’s the main twist in our application.

Thanks, Don & Duane ... I think I've almost got it
Do you mean the links at the top of our National Association home page? If so, it's no wonder I've never figured this out ... all this time I thought I was supposed to be looking for "frames" on these Forum pages.
Assuming I've finally got it straight, thanks for the help!
Edit: HOLD ON ... this is weirder than I thought. The ONLY time I see those "frames" or "buttons" or whatever you want to call them, is if I use Don's link above. If I use the "home" button at the top of this page, or if I use my bookmark for our Association website, there are NO links, buttons, frames, or whatchamacallits at the top of the page ... what is going on?????

Buzz,
You will only see them if you re-enter the site from the main web page.

I see what you mean, but that makes absolutely NO sense to me ... it seems like the "frames" should be on top of that page, no matter HOW you get to it.
I'm glad you helped clear this up ... I've been wondering what "frames" are for a couple of months now ... today is the first time I've ever seen them.

I can live with that ... I probably won't ever use the "frame" buttons anyway, but at least now I know what they are.

It took me awhile to figure out what these "frame" things were too.
Did you notice that if you select "Home" next to the "Profile" button, then come back into the "Sailor's Forum" using the old button it adds another frames button bar (or whatever its called) to the screen?

Thanks, Don ... I had NO idea that's how it is supposed to work ... like I said, today is the first time I've ever seen any of this.
