Hello folks, We have hauled out ten 3 gallon buckets of dry dirt-dauber nests. We have hauled out countless buckets of mud from washing the dirt down to the floor. Underneath all the dirt? Nearly perfect interior!!! I took before photos and after photos. I am trying to post the photos now but am not having luck. I will get them posted so all can see...it may take awhile, but I will get it. Thanks for everybody's posts. I will have more questions after the clean up is done. Happy New year. Barry
Update on boat restoration...I did some trading and am getting new, marine leather cushions custom built for the entire boat along with new, marine burber carpet. I need a motor. I want electric start and generator. Somebody please advise where I can get one used. Happy New Year. Barry
I got photos of the boat on my computer but cannot figure out how to post them on this forum. Can somebody please tell me what button to push that will allow me to attach a photo to post? Barry
you'll need to upload your photos to the web somewhere.
Most use shutterfly or snapfish - both are photo printing services both are free. Once you have that go to the picture on their site, right click on it (control click if your a fruit user) and copy the URL for the picture.
Where the wwwdot is the url you copied from the photo site. The only thing you will need to add to that, and I can't because it will read it as code is open and close the brackets respectively.
Barry, with regards to your question about pressure washing the interior. We did it and it worked for us. We did not have dirt daubers we had mold everywhere. First we removed everything we could from the interior of the boat. The pressure wash was only used against fiberglass surfaces, I tried to keep all the interior wood dry. The pressure washer can damage soft things, and will strip paint. We had to stop and pump out the bilge when we filled it up before we could proceed. I wore a complete rain suit and was pretty wet and covered with stuff loosened from the boat when I was done. We sprayed inside lockers and any where we could do it with out getting woodwork wet. We hand washed a lot of areas over again with bleach but the pressure washer was able to reach back into areas that I could not get to to scrub.
