I need to replace the hinges on the forward hatch and wondered if anyone had ever used "TAKE-APART" hinges. Is there some reason why I should not use them.
I haven't used them but two things I would consider (1) if a sudden gust of wind blew a partially opened hatch all the way open would the hinges separate which leads to (2) does the hatch float so you could retrieve it?
