I picked up my main from the SailLoft today, had a 2nd set of Reef points installed. Since I have the TR, when I reefed the main before it only brought the sail down to the same height as the standard rig. Not much help when the winds picked up over 20. I also got a set of Mast Gates from Joe Martinek and if the weather holds out this weekend I hope to get the main back on and the Gates installed. I can't wait to get out and try it all out.
It came to $165 after taxes. Included a cleat for the leach line and sail tie grommets. No jack lines, I wanted to take a look at everything once I get the Mast Gates installed to see if i need them. If so they would be a simple install.
I installed the mast gates a couple of years ago. I took off the jack line and stitched a sail slug on. I've had no problem with first or second reef since. The thing to keep in mind is which way you want the sail to flake when it's reefed.
