I just had to share this great photo of a good friend of mine (a Capri 26 owner) and Frank at the Catalina Rendezvouz in Baltimore (doing tequila shooters ). A very accessible CEO, is he not?

Years ago when I first bought my boat, I had a ton of questions, and of course we didn't have this excellent forum. I called Catalina and asked the receptionist to talk to someone who would really know a lot about my boat. I didn't want to talk to a salesman. She transferred me to a fellow who introduced himself as Frank Butler. We had a wonderful conversation about all my questions and he even had some suggestions about how to improve things on my without spending a lot of money buying aftermarket stuff. We must have talked for an hour. He asked me questions about my current experiences in the Coast Guard and was a genuinely nice guy. Only later did I learn who Mr. Butler was. I can see how this was the guy who determined to build an uncommonly good boat that the common sailor can afford.

The photo of me and Frank was taken during the annual dinner at the Rendezvous. I was showing my "tattoo" and Frank walked by and we just had to take the pic! I, too, was impressed with his level of interest when I had a problem with my boat after I bought it. Here was the CEO taking time to listen to me and help me. I was SOLD right then and there that Catalina is a fine company filled with caring people who want to offer a quality product. Service after the sale! Something you don't see that often anymore
