I believe everything can be made from parts on the shelf somewhere Here is 400 gph Rule bilge pump mounted and centered between the keel bolts (1985 FK) coming out of bilge under quarter berth I then used Lowes plastic plumbing parts to connect the smaller new bilge pump hose (3/4 inch) to the existing manual discharge hose (1 1/4 inch) The wiring goes up to a 3 way switch mounted behind water hand pump on electric panel bulkhead so I can go manual or auto Rube Goldberg Lives!
Steve: Not for new pump but I understand the manual pump has a back flow valve. I'm thinking of cuttng a back flow valve into the pump hose but need to find one on the shelf somewhere. Ron
I just completed something similar but I ran my electric pump hose up and over the manual pump body, coming in from above increased the angle and mades it unlikely that the manual pump could push water through the electric discharge hose. I had an old in line valve so I put that in the electric hose line, I can manually turn off the electric pump line in an emergency. Your job is much neater and cleaner since I used Home Depot hose fitting and stainless hose clamps, but accomplished the same job. I also put my pump in the keel well and found a way to route the hose and wires all the way aft without drilling anything.
