if the finances allowed i would. i also am interested in doing a good bit of lake hoping so it really wouldn't make sense to pay the slip fee. that's the whole reason i want a trailerable boat.

<font size="2"> <font face="Comic Sans MS"> Mark, I haven’t lived in Texas since school (SMU) but I found a Lake Texoma web site. On the Marinas page they list 12 marinas and their phone numbers. I was amused to see it is also the home of the “Worlds Largest Peanut” which can be seen at City Hall, 3rd Evergreen, Durant, OK. Anyway there seems to be a lot of good info about the lake and you could also e-mail them for more info. Good luck, good sailing.

I'm reading between the lines a bit, and I'm wondering if you're looking for steep or deep ramps that would make launching easier. I don't know anything about Lake Texoma, so I'm no help there ... but ... since you plan to do a lot of "lake hopping," you'll need to have ramp launching down to an art form.
In case you haven't seen the "rope launch" technique, here is a link to our Tech Tips section that shows how to do it ... this shows how to launch a C-250WK, but the technique is the same for a C-25: Rope launching
'Hope that helps ... let us know how your Lake Texoma adventure turns out ... good luck!
Mark: I dock my C250 at Cedar Mills. I checked out 3 other Texoma Marinas and found Cedar Mills to suit my preferences. Easy to transport provisions from the car to the boat. No steep banks to traverse on foot. Easy way to get tiller time without launching. Same dock fee whether you are there for 1 month or many months. Reasonable electric and water charge. Family friendly environement. Friendly staff and great service department. Ship store and fuel dock prices better than West Marine. Good facilities and good sailing.
My drive from Plano to Cedar Mills is 1 hour 20 minutes and takes you through horse country..... Very relaxing drive and once I arrive at Cedar Mills I am already relaxed.
When I depart Cedar Mills to return to Plano the drive is still pleasant and very, very slowly the pace of life returns as I enter into the gerbil cage of Plano traffic.
