This past weekend I was inspecting the plumbing of my holding tank, trying to figure out how it works. I traced all the hoses to see where they lead and I have a question about the T shaped valve switch mounted on the left side. In this photo, the head pumps into the bottom of the 3 connections, then the hose facing the bottom of the photo goes to the thru hull, and the one facing the top goes to the holding tank. Can someone please tell me which end of the switch points to the flowing direction? Reading the red marker, it appears that it is currently switched to the thru hull pump out. I tried to turn the handle, but it feels jammed and will not turn. You can twist it slightly but it returns to it's current position. I didn't bother it much since I saw the replacements are very expensive and I don't want to risk breaking anything. Is there a trick to turning the valve and which direction is it flowing?
Thanks,

I can't say forsure but it looks like it's set to pump into your tank. Try flushing the head with the hatch cover off. You should be able to here the water flushing into the tank. If not,well.....it's over the side and you'll have to decide how to free up the valve..

Here is the trick: you need to know or guess which the common port is so that you know the two directions the handle should swing through. So make sure you are not twisting the wrong way.
There are too many hoses crossign on the bottom right. it does seem to be pointing to the hose exiting to the right, if that is the overboard.
