Hi all! I've just returned from a 10-day charter (TMM) out of Belize on a 46' catamaran. If you like solitude, gorgeous sunsets, friendly people, good food (albeit a bit expensive)and incredible snorkeling then you should go there! We anchored at night 9 times and only twice were there other boats in the anchorage - 2 others on one occasion and 4 boats (2 non-charter) on the other. The TMM people are great to deal with and most helpful, although the boat had seen better days... It was a real thrill to sail at 7+ knots in 6' of water (takes a bit of getting used to!!) Good luck to all of you going to the Nationals - just wish that I could join you. Derek

We went to Hawaii in January. Although we had a wonderful holiday, we missed sailing and thought that the next trip would be the Carrib or to Belize....with the focus on sailing. Not sure if we want to charter the whole time we're there or not. We're currently doing sailboat rental and charter research.
