Anyone with experience with AB RIB inflatables made in Venezuela? If so, how do they compare with similar models, i.e. Zodiac, Caribe, Apec, Avon, et al? Thanks.

Well there made of Hypalon thats a BIG pluss. Some of the others are not. There made by a company that has been around a long time, thats a + for customer service. The company is big and deversified another +. I would say there product is every bit as good as the others and a bit better than some. I just bought an AVON RIB but thats just my preferance and I got a sweet deal. I would say if your planing on purchasing one you wont go far wrong.

One of the C-25WK owners in our club has had an AB RHIB, about a 12-footer I think, for six or seven years. It has been used at least 10~15 weekends every year, including several two to three week cruises in the San Juan Islands. He has powered the boat with a Yamaha 15, and even with 500 pounds of passengers and gear it planes quickly and easily. Construction quality is excellent, and I expect he will get at least 20 years of trouble free service out of the boat. As Douglas said in his post, Hypalon is the most durable fabric for an inflatable boat, and AB uses all the best quality materials and construction methods.
