Last Friday I raced the new P30 from South Freeport to Boothbay, about 30 miles, single handed. At the last moment I decided to race spinnaker class. Was having great fun until I got greedy with the kite trim, broke the pole, and tore the kite... anyway, it was maybe the best sailing day I've ever had.

(extra points if you can identify which show the audio is from)

COOL video Justin!

However ... I'm clueless what show the audio came from, but it sounds like The Grateful Dead ... do I get any points for that?

ok, you can have the points

Scarlet Begonias, Cornell University, Barton Hall, 1977. There are those of us who've wasted enough of our lives listening to Dead tapes to identify the way Phil plays the bass line on that version...

Great video. What is the P30? Is that a catalina? I have enough Dead for about a two hour sail. Cheers.

P30 is a Pearson 30. Her name is Assunta. I bought her in March.

OK. I have a friend that has a Pearson 346 or 345 I can't remember, I just know it is a nice boat. Cheers.

Nice video! I love watching different sailing video clips during the week when I can't sail. It reminds me what I get to look forward to.
