Hi All, I am going to buy a tillerpilot and wondered if we get a better deal from one company over the other. Cheers.

Check defender.com. They often have lower prices than West Marine.

Defender isn't a company that we have an affiliate program with, but Brooke is right, they do have lower prices. Mauri Pro might have something too

Duane,

Have you asked Defender if they would like to participate in our affiliate program?

For any of you who are not familiar with Defender, I've found them to be good people to do business with. Although Defender is a considerably smaller business than West Marine, Defender's prices, selection, and customer service help keep West Marine honest. As I recall, the cash registers in my local West Marine stores have a discount justification menu selection pre-programmed to "Match Defender", and they keep a copy of the latest Defender catalog under the counter for price checks.

We don't have affiliate programs Leon, we participate in them. Companies like performics.com, commission juction (cj.com) I've approached them twice to which their reply was we that they didn't have enough margin to give us a cut.

We will be getting back on board with SailNet soon. I've had a few email conversations with the new guys over there and their business model appears to be vastly different and sustainable.
