The C250 WB we're looking at doesn't have the catbird seats, can they be retrofitted onto a '95 model? Rita really liked them on the 2002 WK we looked at.

I'm not sure about the retrofit, although it seems like it should be possible. You would want a VERY experienced, capable person to do the work.
I do know this--they were an instant favorite on my 2006 C250; my wife and kids love them, and (with the wheel steering) I have motorsailed (in light winds) and motored (in typical Nashville TN summer winds-dead calm) while steering from one of these seats. Get them if at all possible.
You might try to call Catalina directly; I have gotten good information from them the few times I have called, usually from a senior company executive.
Turns out the point is moot, we were outbid on this boat as well. Two down, one WB, one WK. We've got another WK in our sights, crossing our fingers on this one.
I'll post some photos of mine once I complete all the projects and splash again. I got all the parts except cushions from WM. I found a place to make the low profile cushions later.
