Well with all due respect to Snopes.com I don't see how that can be a 3.8 meter kayak if that shark is 4 meters.

Not only that, but it looks like the guy has his rudder in the UP position. Guy must work for Reuters, but the situation created IS intense, especially after they showed Jaws, Jaws II and Jaws III on tv this weekend.

I see evidence that the shot used a wide-angle lense, which would make things in the foreground (the shark) abnormally larger than things further away (the kayak). Nonetheless....
