I know that I have another thread here about this project, but something that I just noticed has me concerned. I thought that I could re-build the cockpit table (traditional interior) to fit across between the settee's as part of the support for a queen size bed. Well, I bought the bed (aerobed) last week from QVC and didn't really check the size. Yeah, I know it was kind of stupid, but anyway, it's on its way.
My issue is that I have measurements at home on paper that indicate that the distance between the back of each settee is around 70". That means that I am about 8" short in the distance for putting the aerobed in since it is 78"x60". Well I could always turn the bed 90 degrees and make the span of 60" go from side to side, and I may have to. However, I really wanted to span the cabin with the 78" side leaving more room to move about.
Has anyone else (Frank comes to mind right away) that has put in a queen size bed? Do you put it longways across the cabin or longways forward to stern in the cabin?
BTW: It is a 1985 Standard Rig C25
Thanks
