I'm sad to sell her, but I've just bought a "new" boat ('65 Pearson Vanguard), so my beloved 1981 Catalina 25 is now for sale. She's in very good condition with recently refinished exterior teak and tons of extras. She's currently docked on the Rappahannock River in Virginia.
Here are the specifics:
-Swing keel (keel winch, cable, hose, turning ball replaced in 2006; keel pivot hardware replaced in 2004; keel encapsulated in epoxy) -9.9 hp Yamaha outboard (4-stroke high thrust, electric start, alternator), runs very well
Electrical: -3 batteries in 2 banks - House bank: two 12v (new in 2005); Starting bank one 12v -Dual bank marine battery charger -Shore power and cord
Electronics: -Depth meter -Knot meter -Wind speed/direction -VHF -Compass (new in 2004) -Tiller autopilot -AM/FM Cassette stereo
Canvas, etc: -Fully battened main with cover (new in 1999 - very good condition) -155% genoa - restitched Sept '06 - with roller furling -Mainsheet new in 2005 -Furling line and headsail sheets new in 2006 -Bimini (new in 2002 I believe) -Covers for tiller and winches -Fenders -SS removable swim ladder -Teak bowsprit with anchor roller/fluke anchor -Full canvas pop-top cover for cool weather -Full linen/mosquito net pop-top cover for warm weather
Plumbing/Galley: -Head with holding tank -SS sinks in head and galley -Fresh water tank (plumbing new in 2006) -Cold-plate refrigeration in ice box -Origo non-pressurized alcohol stove (looks new; never used as far as I can tell)
Other: -Cockpit cushions - excellent condition -Carpet new in 2006 -In the process of recovering all interior cushions with upholstery-grade sunbrella (teal) -Exterior teak removed, refinished and rebedded in 2006 -Four salon windows rebedded in 2006 -Solar vent fan in forward hatch - new in 2006 -Deck under mast rebuilt in 2003 due to suspected core rot (no rot found, but repair was completed) -Hauled and painted bottom in 2005 and 2006 -Maintenance log dating to mid-1990s
