In our sailing club's championship race this weekend we got the bronze, and only one point out of second. If they re rate the PHRF, or whatever you call it, due to changing wind, we could even be second. Dwight was the captain, I was the grinder, and Kathy was the second in command. You notice that I'm the non thinking gorilla. We used Dwights 89 wing as he has a slick VC bottom. You know, in all of my past sports (swimming, triathalons, slalom kayak racing, etc )it was always the first one over the line that won. With the adjustment system, or whatever you call it, even though we came over the line really behind the "fast" race boats, we moved up. We even won one of the events. This is completely attributed to Dwight Guinn's superior skills as captain, and Kathy's really good looksand sailing skill, and my ballast as rail meat and grinder.
Look out Frank Hopper. Dwight and I will be gunning for you some year at nationals.
I just may enjoy racing after all. Of course none of the racers whined at all, that could have had something to do with it.
