OK, OK... There aren't any really good pics because it's semi-custom, but it'll look pretty much like this:

...without the closed-in helm of that particular one. And the hull will be dark green. It's an Eastern 27--they make a lot of commercial boats--for the Coast Guard, state agencies, etc. I'll be up in NH next week to see how the construction is going. My sailing will probably be mostly in Beetle Cats.

Here's another one--imagine it with sloping sidewalls next to the cockpit, going up to triangular windows by the windshield, and posts holding the aft corners of the hardtop... oh never mind.

So, have your fun with me...

It looks like the modern incarnation of a Criss Craft motor launch for running around your waterway. How could anyone diss that! Very cool, you can pay for it by being a water taxi to moorings on the week ends! Post some photos from the factory when you get back.

The decks are indeed nice, and the cockpit/party floor is huge, partly because I'm putting a single Honda V6 outboard (the Odyssey engine) on an Armstrong bracket on the transom. That's what's on the boat in the first picture above--hidden by the spray. I considered their Volvo diesel sterndrive option--I like that the Honda is outside of the boat, requires no holes in the hull, and tips completely out of the water when not running.

Thanks! 225 hp generally makes short work of pot warps--they were probably more of a threat to my balanced rudder (with its "hook" just below the skeg) and my Honda 8. But I'll still watch where I'm going.

I could name her "T/T Stars & Stripes". Seems like most of them are RIBs. But she could be a committee boat. (She might actually do that some day.)

Actually, it's an electric "furler"--probably not present on the boats in the pictures... Push a button and the... ummm... anchor... "unfurls". Push another button and if "furls" back up.

One of those things you can do with a 90-amp alternator... And it's just like you guys--I'll unfurl and then turn off the engine... turn it back on and furl.

When I saw your photos I went to the web site and immediately sent a link to our YC BOG with a recommendation that we buy the 26' version for a committee boat. We are tired of almost dieing on our pontoon in 30 mph winds.

Frank: I drove the 26 that's shown in those photos, with the two Evinrude e-Tech 150s--it's a rocket ship! My first time to 50 on a boat--it felt like it was going to jump right out from under me and leave me in the lake! Actually, it's the same hull as my 27, but just a center console. You'll find it's a very good buy compared to the brand-names, and they'll build it just the way you want it--only the hull is fixed. Part of their economy is that they're not big on glitz. Another part is they don't keep any inventory or pay dealers. They build every boat for a customer. I can't speak to shipping to Kansas... The guy to talk to is Carroll Canney--tell him I sentcha. (No, I don't get anything...

)
