Thanks to you vetrans out there. Happy Vetrans day! I have a Mast-Up from Catalina Direct. The push-pit rail prevents me from hooking it up to the gudgeons as the rail sticks aft too far. Any simple way to deal with this before I start welding? If I bend it, the inside piece will bind when I go to slide it up.

Have you Called Lowell at Catalina Direct? He is the owner and the guy that answers the tech line. If it has happened before, he's seen it and he will tell you how to work around it.
Couple observations: The new style Catalina Direct rudder gudgeons place the pintle holes about 1/2" further aft than the early models. That's one way to fix it and get bushed gudgeons as part of the deal.
If a PO had put a newer gudgeon on the bottom and not the top, that might explain the clearance issue.
Whatever you do... don't bend it! I'd increase the offset of the pins that hold in in place (a minor cut and weld job)
