Frank called the meeting to order. All officers were in attendance.

All officers introduced themselves, going over their background and interests.

Frank requested that all officers submit their picture and a short bio for the web site.

Frank proposed and it was agreed that the minutes of each monthly officer meeting be sent out, along with whatever other content is submitted, in a monthly Telltales. Kevin will handle making this happen, and take over the Telltales editing responsibility from Paul, giving Paul more time to make web site updates.

Association finances and the new job duties of the Treasurer were discussed. Ben will get together with JB, who is now the association bookkeeper, and get up to speed on our finances and the methods that we use to handle money. The non-financial duties of the Treasurer were discussed as well, and are:

- Develop relationships with vendors to obtain discounts for our members
- Work to drive affiliate business via forum posts
- Be the official liaison with Nanosec (our membership processing vendor)

Having the treasurer be responsible for developing one cruising related venue financed through the organization was discussed, but it was decided that is a joint responsibility of all the officers as a goal, not a duty.

All of the other officers did a short overview of what their duties and responsibilities are.

Frank announced that the monthly conference call will be monthly. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) It will be on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 Central.

Duane discussed the work he has been doing on affiliate programs for the web site, see his forum post for more information. Duane would like to test Google generated ads on the site, and it was agreed that after a test, we would poll the membership on whether they want to have these ads on the site to generate more revenue for the organization.

We will pick up where we left off on Frank’s mega agenda with the “Goals for the Year” section. The next call will be with staff.
