Supposedly, this also allows you to charge certain cell phones. I don't know anything about this company or lamp. For $50 it looks good but would like to get some opinions on this or other similar products. I already have some oil hurricane lamps but this looks interesting.
Have both a hand crank radio (Radio Shack) and crank flashlights (Cosco) for emergencies. Don't know how much you'll have to crank to charge your phone but some juice is better than none. Crank radios and lights are great for emergencies and should be good on our boats as well.
I used one of the radio/flashlight/cel phone charger units this past summer. The radio will operate for about 20 minutes when fully charged by cranking. I used the cel phone charging feature when I lost my cel phone charger cord - It served to keep my phone operating until I found my cord a couple days later. I think this is a good emergency item. It worked reliably. Worked well with rechargable batteries. I liked that it took two different kinds of batteries and could also be plugged into a wall socket. Mine was a Xmas gift, I believe it came from Radio Shack
