I'm wondering what the vertical clearance is for my 1980 standard rig, traditional set up. Does anyone know where I can find that info? Thanks for your input! Danielle
I guess that would depend on how much beer you had on board <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>.
How accurate are you looking to get? The mast extrusion is 28' on the standard rig, plus about 4" for the masthead, plus X for windex or antenna (my antenna is about 30-32"), and about 5' from the base of the mast to the water. So you're looking at about 35-36 feet.

That probably figures all standard interior components, tanks filled, and no additional gear or people aboard. But that's just my recollection.

I took my '83 standard rig SK boat under a railroad bridge that is supposedly 33 feet off the water. The clearance was so close that the radio antenna was whipped back. Fortunately, the mast head light was not smashed! The tide must have been out.
