When I laid up my boat for the winter I made it a point to check all the screws on the motor mount, gudgeons, and the swim ladder, etc.

I noticed that one of the screws that holds the factory installed swim ladder onto the transom is stripped.

Anybody know what kind of screws they used and what kind of backing, if any is installed behind them?

Mine was through-bolted. I don't recall what size bolts and nuts. The nuts were backed with a piece of 1/2" thick fiberglass and large washers.

Thanks Al, I guess I'll have to crawl around down in there in the spring.

Hopefully it's only a nut that needs to be held in place while tightened.
