<font color="blue"><font size="4"><font face="Comic Sans MS">Well, my boat is at Cap Sante having the bottom repainted and on the way home I stopped by West Marine to see what items they had on thier big sale. I bought a ComnavStar wind instrument 50% off, could not resist that price, mainly because since I'm getting older.... I get a crook in my neck looking at wind direction arrow and seems I'm always looking in to the sun.
Since I'm home without immediante access to the boat.....you know that feeling.....I'm thinking I can drill a hole thru the deck next to the existing lights electrical fitting, for the transducer cable but I'm at a loss as how to run the cable inside the cabin to the instrument. Any thoughts.

I have been running some wires around the boat , Are you talking at the bottom of the mast , A throw hull fitting ? once its throw you can run the wire down the starbord side . If you take one of those adjustable lights out over the table you can see what kind of space you have to work with . Once you get the wire down to the teak trim where the top the boat comes to gether with the hull , I would run it forward to the nose of the boat you can get the wire down to the water tank without being seen , you could use that black wire wrap ,cut in small piceses it will hold the wire in place if you squish it up in the crack . then run back throw the bilage acsess holes . to where you need it . you should be able to run the wire without drilling any holes (except the throw hull).
check the route many times befor you start and a electrical snake helps
