This is how I ended up accessing the lifeline mount. Used a Dremmel. Could have made a smaller hole.

Note the outboard nuts are between the bulkhead and the overhead of the deck. You can't get a socket on the nut. You have to get to the nut from the side. I will likely have to get one of those new (7/16) open-end wrenches with a knee joint to get to them? Too cold to re-mount them yet. Getting the bolt started should be fun.
Watch the wires when cutting the hole. I used a coat hanger bent in an "L" shape with a little hook on the end. I held the wires up while cutting.
Wish me luck re-bedding. It'll be tight but looks do-able.
WOW, I am looking at doing the same job on my boat this spring if it ever gets warm, this thread prompted me to check mine out. I am blessed that all of mine are easily accessible with out a lot of effort. Keep us posted this great learning opportunity. Do you plan on refiling the holes with epoxy and redrilling?
