Not so much a topic as a commentary. I just finished five weeks in Pensacola - what an incredible sailing venue. I'll speak for Pearl, and say that she enjoyed her stay at PSMC marina on Chico Bayou.
I spent the first week cleaning with two short outings before my wife arrived (side tracked by a trip to Cancun with work friends). Then we sailed - far too many destinations to reach in a month. Alas. we only day sailed; but even with that limitation we did reach Ft. Pickens, English Navy Cove, Pensacola Beach, and some directionless meanderings while being chased by dolphins. Under brilliant sun and sometimes clouds on water too blue in perfect winds, Ohio's winter was far behind. There were a few days with to much breeze and chop or swell and a lone tornado watch to give respite from the dangers of ultraviolet, but it was as fine a winter break as I could want. I look forward to overnighters next year.
