Basically three members of the Association who are willing to admit they know each other. Everything after that is optional. I think Kevin (Association Secretary) has a fleet formation manual he can send you.

From the bylaws...
<i>"Fleet development manuals may be obtained from the Secretary, and contain valuable information for consideration in the formation of a Fleet. The minimum requirement for the sanctioning of a new Fleet is the participation of three Regular Members of the Association; although an Officer review of the Fleet By-Laws for the applicant is desirable."</i>
It takes Hey Jude & Sparky about an hour and one-half to get to the Bay Bridge from Brisbane (around 7 miles) depending on the tide, but I think we will follow developments. There sure are plenty of Cat-25s around.
Count me in on the new Fleet. "Close Quarters" 250WB #265 can be found frequently sailing out of Emeryville, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Clear Lake, and the San Juans! when she isn"t "On the Hard" in landlocked Moraga. You can recognize us by the two Goldens who are always with us as mates.
I was hoping to hear from Sparky! Hi Paul. With Paul, Jim (Sparky and Hey Jude) and Edd (CapnEddy) plus two private responses we have 7 boats so it seems there is some interest out there. Paul, Jim and I all met last year for a sail to Alameda together for lunch. The 3 of us all tied up on the guest dock at Jock London Square and our 3 Catalina 25s sure looked nice all in row. Now I know what Motorcycle gangs feel like :) ... I guess now Russ and I have to get our act together. We're racing together tomorrow night so we'll have a chance to talk... will keep you posted.
Anyone else in the Bay Area interested? I KNOW there are more SF Bay sailors in the Association out there!
