Hi All, I am preping for the August issue of the Mainsheet and have to have the materials submitted by June 15. We will continue to feature Henk's story as a feature and that does not effect our space. The National races are after my deadline, so that coverage will be later in the year. So, I would like to fill the August issue with mini sailing tales. Be it racing, cruizing, or just kickin' back with your guitar and a bottle of Jack Daniels. Have fun, be creative, and be on time. Thanks much.
Dennis, might you also be interested in the Catalina 25 as a sometime fishing boat? Yesterday was a day in which she found herself, while on a peacefull tack across five mph winds, with the usual two lines astern sporting the latest 007s, in the throws of a gigantic flood of blue fish: cocktail blues being chased by choppers being eaten by I don't know what, I think something not scaly but large enough to chomp a six or seven pound bluefish with it in its mouth and surfing across the bay, in water once as smooth as a glass table top, then a boiling kaleidoscope of white spray, fin and gore that challenges memory and sensibility. All this in a flash of minutes, probably never to be seen again in a lifetime. Well should I give it a try?
