I am looking to buy a custom cover of a 1985 standard rig c25. I have a 1980 standard rig. Should I assume it will fit my 1980 boat? Did they change anything with the schrouds or anything between 1980 and 1985?
This is a boom tent winter cover and it goes from bow to stern. It's a good deal but I want to be sure it fits. My boat is out on a floating dock now and if I can avoid having to try to put the cover on out there I would like to.
Don't know for sure but I bought a used Fairclough winter cover from our Swap forum and it works fine. Most all tie downs are near enough to be servicable. The important ones, stern cutout, mast wrap around and zipper, and shroud points are right on.
The price $ 300 made it worth the gamble seeing as how a new one was in excess of $ 1000.
My website shows the custom cover the PO had made by a local sail shop. It covers 100% of the boat up to the mast area and then about 60% of the bow area to the mast. I believe the PO paid more than $600 for the cover. It is made of the Sunbrella matl.
