Does anybody know of a source for a Jib track cleat? WM has a folding variety of which they are VERY PROUD.$$ Defender has a non-folding variety that would meet the need but the description says it is for a 1.25" track mine is 1 inch. Do you think that will work? I want to use this as a mid-ship cleat for docking and don't want to drill any holes in the deck.

John, you need a 1" not the 1-1/4". I'd suggest calling Defender to see if they can get you the 1" model. I have a 1" Shaefer cleat and highly recommend it. Bought it at Fawcett's in Annapolis (for more than the Defender price). I did a Google search and found it on this site: http://www.newjsi.com/detail.aspx?ID=22. I have no experience with the retailer, but they seem to be close to Defender's price.
This one from Defender is for a 1" track: http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|10391|292249|312057&id=92875 (Copy and paste the whole thing.) Pretty good price, all things being relative...
Garhauer makes one for $40 (on their site)--that might be what I bought at WM a few years ago--apparently they don't carry them now.
WM still carries the 1" version along with the 1 1/4" one. Page 1141 of the catalog. Their online search does not always find the products. 1" version is part # 1928787 and is $99.99
Also Garhauer sells a cleat for the 1" track for only $40! Go to their site and search for cleat.
Thanks guys. I decided to split the difference and go for the one at Defender. I wonder why they don't list both sizes together. Thanks for finding it Dave.
I just bought a 1" jib track cleat online directly from Garhauer Marine - $40+9.10S&H. It arrived in three days. I only bought one on the premise that it would be unusual to need a spring line on both sides simultaneously.
You need mi9dships cleats on BOTH sides when you raft up, plus, you will not always know which side you're going to tie up to. Buy two and save some running around before you dock. The Garhauer price allows this to be done on a small budget, why pay more?

I think that Garhaur is what I had--worked fine. The Schaefer, of course, is cooler.
