Has anyone repositioned the traveler to the companionway ? Apart from the coachroof is there any other way of moving it out of the cockpit ?

Yes at leasr one. And Brooke Wilson was the last one that I remember reading about having done so. You should be able to scope out his project with pictures on the forum. Perhaps he'll even come back to you when he reads your post.

I have and can say that after a year and a half, I still love it. That is how long it has been since I have been entangled with the mainsheet! Here is a picture. I have since made a step under it and find it pretty comfortable to sit on .

By the way, I found that if you move to mid-boom sheeting it helps to go to a 4:1 mainsheet purchase.
