Well, I got the new bulheads installed and they looked great, that is until I drilled the port side chain plate holes about 1/2 inch to ohigh! :( I was so mad at myself, but then I realized the bulkheads were installed so I was happy. I guess I can just fill the extra 4 holes with resin and then put a chainplate backing plate or some trim piece to cover them.
For all who repsonded to my interior gelcoat issue in another post, I need to take some pictures of mine. The stuff that is flaking off from the hull below the v-berth in the storage compartment appears to be gelcoat, however you can see the underlying matt texture in it. But when it flakes off, the gelcoat is white, and the underlying matt is an clearish opaque color, like raw fiberglass and resin color. Is this how yours is? My worry is that I will get blistering if water sits in there too long on the bare fiberglass.
All I need to do now is to install an anchor and some spreader lights on the mast, a topping lift, my new bildge pump, seal the hull to deck joint, replace the bumper stip, repaint the boot stripe and pin stripe, and polish the hull, and then she'll be ready to plop into this nice little marina that I found. :) After that, I can work on gel-coating the deck, making a new rudder (mine is starting to warp), installing new cabin lights, replacing the lower bulkheads, resealing the windows, and a million other things. Does it ever end???
Oh yea.... I will be changing her name in the near future. So I must brush up on the Poseidon appeasement ritual. :)

Essential: Remove anything with the old name from the boat and your life, it must never be spoken nor discovered again. Ask Poseidon to put your new name on his log so he will know your boat honors him and his realm, spread champagne on the water as you ask.
