When making long cruises I will take along a standard run of the mill 5 gallon $10 plastic Jerry can of gas. I lash it back against the swim ladder, it fits good between the fuel locker and the port side. I cut a length of rubber hose about 2 feet long, the inside diameter of the hose allows me to fit it snug over the nozzle of the Jerry can. By using the rubber hose as a nozzle extention it allows me to refill my Tempo value6 tank without spilling gas or having to unhook and remove the Tempo tank from the fuel locker. The rubber hose has another duty, I store it between the Tempo tank and the back of the fuel locker to keep the tank from rubbing against the rudder gudgeon bolts that protrude in the fuel locker.
