I'm on a quest to update my Seaward tank with the newer overflow protection device (OPD) valve. In the course of research I found this device which allows you to refill those small Coleman cannisters and save $$. Check it out.

We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.

I've got one of these, bought it from Harbor Freight some time ago. From what I've read, you want to make sure the big cannister is warm, and the little one is cool. You have to invert the large cannister to fill the small one. And you're only supposed to open the valve for one minute.

I would rather see an adaptor that would allow us to use the 1lb tanks in our standard 1 burner stove. Right now we keep several of the white cans and a few of the green cans (for the burner and for the grill) I typically have to change out at least 1 of the white cans for the stove over a long weekend.

I recycle both canister types.

(is it even the same gas??)
