Last year was my first year with the C250 and I didn't do rig tuning. I always felt the mast raked back a bit. This year I will do the tuning and be attentive to mast rake, etc. I am thinking that my forestay could be shortened/tightened as part of the setup. Here is a photo of the top of the furler. There is about 5-6 inches of forestay above the furler luff top. Is that how yours look?? It is a CDI furler.
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.
Mine looks like that too (and I have a tall rig). That just means you have room for adjustment. To measure mast rake hook some weight on your main halyard and see how far away it hangs from the mast when the boat is on her lines. I've read recommendation on this forum ranging from 1.5" to 4" as measured at the base of the mast.
