Calling all C250 mod'ers!

My technical article for the August Mainsheet magazine is due early June. I would like to use this article to highlight the benefits of this forum and to encourage Mainsheet users to utilize this forum. So, I want to highlight a number of mods that forum members have done and encourage the readers to visit the forum for more info.

So, here is your chance to have your mod published. By the end of April please post, as a reply to this topic, the following:

Your name
Boat name
Description of mod
A (one) jpg of the mod
The name of the "Topic" where you posted more information

As you can see I want there to be an actual "Topic" that a person can search for to get the more detailed project information. You need to have done such a topic and I am sure you probably have. If not, create one.

Here is an example (using my cabin table mod):

Name - Randy Kolb
Boat Name - Nauti Duck
Mod Description - Folding table in the cabin makes better use of space
Topic Search Phrase - Cabin Table Mod

With this information the Mainsheet reader can see the mod, understand it's purpose, go to the forums, and search for the Topic Search Phrase which will take him/her to the more detailed information about the mod.

It is important that you have a clear Topic and a good photo that shows the essence of the mod. I have noticed some great mods but the photos no longer show. This is a great chance to update (or redo) your previously posted mod Topics so new members can learn from your work. I know there are lots of great mods about single-handing, sail management, cruising comforts, trailers, etc. Let's show off our stuff! Got more than one great mod? Send them in. I'll fit as many as I can.

Let's show what the C250 Mod Squad can do!!

We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.

Incorporating step-by-step mods into the Tech Tips portion of this website would probably be a better choice than having it get lost in a sea of topics on the forums. Over the years, I've seen countless good mods get forever buried in the forums. Too bad they were never moved to the Tech Tips.

After collecting these topics we can then post them in the Tech Tips area. Consider this as the first step in getting it all organized.

Randy,
Dunno if you can use the post I just wrote up on installing a Garelick OB bracket or not. Not sure you'd actually call it a mod or not?
