My dealer told me that our new boat arrived in his shop on Monday. I haven't seen it yet, but he told me it's actually designated Mark II - much to his surprise - and it looks great. (He thought that the 250WB was going to be assigned mk II, but he didn't know that the 250wk would be given this suffix.)
He thinks that the two opening ports (side, not forward, I think) really look and function much better than all those non-opening smoked plexiglass windows in earlier models.
The front hatch, as we've seen in pics from last fall, is a pretty-good quality transparent window/hatch. I think that it's from Harken or some other quality manufacturer.
Also, apparently the "Cruising Package" (pop top, stove, portable head & ice chest) is no longer standard, but these items are now add-on options. Our boat arrived without these, so our dealer is having to add them at his own expense.
He's also much happier with the Road King trailer; he thinks that the features are and quality is much better than the Trail-Rite.
I may be able to see the boat on Friday or Saturday - if I do, I'll take some pictures.

Your dealer must have used last year's order form. You should have bought from the dealer in Santa Rosa. He told me about the new option packages last fall.

You may be right, Russ, but my local dealer is about 20 miles away; the Santa Rosa dealer is something like 200 miles away. I like both of these guys, but I'd rather shop locally whenever possible.
Additionally, my local dealer offered a great promotion last fall when I ordered this boat; he paid the sales tax and threw in some other extras at no charge. In my estimation, I paid something like $5,000 or $10,000 less than if I were to buy this boat from any other Catalina dealer today. I'm happy.

I'm sure you're right about this, too. However, Catalina seems to be notorious about not keeping forms, design changes, their Web page, etc. up-to-date. In the end, this was actually to my advantage. Many of the formerly standard items have been included at no additional cost to me, since there was some ambiguity in the order.
Boy, you can't complain about a dealer who makes good on a mistake like that. I'd say you're in good hands. And I'm betting you're gonna see that boat this weekend!
