I bought my Capri 25 about 2 weeks ago, what a fun boat! Mine is in pretty good shape but the lines all need to be replaced. Ideally I will know exactly what rope to buy for each one that needs to be swapped out, and then I can just attach the end of the new rope to the old one and pull it on through the blocks, etc.
Is there a site that shows what I want to know about all those lines? Including the recommended type of rope for each purpose? I've seen info like that for other boats but I'm not seeing it for the Capri 25.

I just bought two new halyard lines. Went with Samson XLS Extra-T. 5/16(8mm). 65 feet for the main halyard and 70 for the jib. Best price I could find was at Defender for $0.94. http://www.defender.com/category.jsp?id=749715 I bought it at my local chandlery and paid $1.05, but it worked out about the same if you figure shipping.
Thanks so much for that info, guys! That 'running rigging' set of diagrams is particularly helpful. I've never skippered anything larger than a 14 foot dinghy prior to this boat and I don't know what half the lines on this one are for, ha. Now I can go sort through them with the diagrams and figure out how more things work than just the halyards and the sheets.
I find that the boat is very responsive to the tiller, which is what I am used to with my Laser I. I'm guessing this must be at least partly due to the fact that the rudder is completely submerged and forward of where it is positioned on boats like the Catalina 25. In fact the Capri feels (and in a way looks) kind of like a giant version of my little Laser. That tiller does take up a lot of cockpit room though. I guess I can stow passengers in the rear corners of the cockpit behind the tiller if needed?
Look at "Capri25" post on this thread 5/9/08. I bought 70' last time around and they are plenty long enough for any maneuver that I have tried to date. For sizes, I've got 8mm for light airs and a heavier line just in case I get brave enough to pop the spinnaker in heavier winds (hasn't happened yet).
I run my spinnaker blocks and sheets all the way to the pulpit the forward to the winch. I also pack my chute in the companionway hatch and run the sheet from starboard winch, back to block, thru twinger, up to forward pulpit and around (outside of everything, back around sidestays then into companionway bag.
